about

Hooker Vision (HIV025 / HIV027)

The first four Quiet Evenings songs to be recorded. Embryonic, stoned, rough sketches that would eventually coalesce into something more defined.

May 20, 2009: "Live from Hooker Vision Headquarters: A.M. sunlight/P.M. blacklight one take, no overdubbing, cassette recorder mic improvs."

May 28, 2009: "It was raining for days and the songs grew like mushrooms. Lurking within the ruins of ancient folklore and esoteric mycology, a tape recorder captured two rain storms and two rituals of stone age poisoning. Holy is the withdrawal after Soma, which is the Vedic hallucinogen related to qannabbôs and, from time to time, electricity."
